-Church will begin at 9am. Services will still be offered online for those preferring to stay home. (See below for online option for K-5).
-Babies, Toddlers, and Preschoolers will be dropped off in their classes before service.
-K-5 students will start with their parents and then join their class.
-All students should be picked up immediately after service by one parent.
Nursery and Toddler
-These classes will meet in their regular classrooms.
-There will be one or two volunteers who will wear masks at all times.
-Children this age are not expected to wear masks.
-Children will play as normal and volunteers will do their best to keep non-siblings separated, but we know at this age, that is not a guarantee!
-Parents will be called for diaper changes.
Preschool
-Preschoolers will meet outside on the parking lot side of church. Look for signs to direct you where to go.
-We ask that parents keep masks on at all times while in the children’s area. If children can keep masks on until in their location, that is preferred, but we also understand the difficulty of that with children this age.
-Teacher will wear a mask the whole time (except story/lesson time – see below)
-After checking children in, parents and child will choose from a variety of toys to take to their designated space where they will have time to play.
-Each child will have their own basket to put their toys in when they are done so that toys are not shared (siblings can share and play together).
-After play time, children will join the teacher in a circle with spots marked for students at a safe distance.
-Each child will have their own bag/box of supplies to use during the lesson and craft time so supplies are not shared.
-All of the supply boxes will be filled and closed by Thursday, so the items will “quarantine” for 3 days. The teacher will wear gloves and a mask while passing out the boxes that morning.
-Teacher can remove mask for story and lesson time but will keep mask on if s/he needs to get close to students to help them with crafts or activities.
-If there is time left after story time, the students can return to their play area with their toys from earlier or teacher can take them on the grass to play a game that would keep the children fairly distant.
-There will be an extra volunteer for GROW Kids that will help take children to the restroom if needed.
-One parent should come immediately after service to pick up their child.
K-5
-Students will start in service with parents (students this age are expected to follow all the mask protocols).
-When students are dismissed, we are asking that one parent walk the students to the parking lot side of church.
-Class will be set up with spots marked for students at a safe distance (they will each have a hula hoop to sit in).
-Once children are in their spot, they can remove their mask if they choose.
-Teacher will wear a mask until all students and teacher are seated at a safe distance.
-We will conduct our whole lesson in this set up.
-Each student will have their own box of all the supplies they will need for the day so no supplies need to be shared.
-All of the supply boxes will be filled and closed by Thursday, so the items will “quarantine” for 3 days. The teacher will wear gloves and a mask while passing out the boxes that morning.
-There will be one extra volunteer for GROW Kids who can serve as a runner to take kids to the restroom if needed.
-One parent should come immediately after service to pick up their children. Children will be asked to put their mask back on before leaving their spot.
*For those students not attending in person, I will send out a Zoom link so they can join us from home. I will also record the Zoom session and can send it out to anyone who prefers to have their child watch it later. Just let me know if you will need this.
