Greetings CCC Friends and Family,
Here is an update to clarify our plans for this week’s stream-cast and other information.
With the declaration of a National Emergency and school closings we are adjusting our gathering status from amended to canceled. Unless things progress or change on a national or state level we will not gather for worship or other programming at CCC. This includes formation, 10am worship, youth group, mid-week studies and any special events on the calendar. Stay tuned regarding the pending decision about our Palm Sunday Egg Hunt. We will keep our website up to date with any information we send out in our emails so visit communitycovenantchurch.orgfor updates. While there you can check out our Lenten devotional resources as well.
We encourage those of you who have access to facebook to “like” or “follow” our Community Covenant Church Facebook pageand tune in tomorrow morning at 10:00am for our Facebook live stream-cast. One change from Thursday e-newsletter will be our text from Hosea 14 to 1 Kings 19 as we identify with the prophet Elijah and the subject of fear. The bible has much hope to offer us in these days as fear and restlessness pervade our world. Tune in and share your thoughts and emojis!
Again, let us not allow our lack of attendance mean a lack of engagement! Stay connected and fellowship as you feel safe to do so. When gathering we suggest practicing a social distance of 6ft and defining High Risk as those age 60+ as prescribed by the California Department of Public Health.If the protocols for social distancing are appropriate use your common sense, the wisdom of the Holy Spirit and visit each other. Use your social media platforms to begin checking in on everyone, text people on our prayer list, call those you know to check in on them! Let’s stay connected in as many ways as possible during this time! We are leaving Lenten small group gatherings up to the hosts and participants discretion.
